A doctor at your door in Hanoi
We have a clinic in Hanoi, at 32/33 Phu My in My Dinh, Nam Tu Liem, and a team of licensed doctors and nurses who live and work in the city. So there are two ways we can help: one of our doctors comes to your home or hotel, or you are welcome to come to the clinic. Please call our duty line — it is answered around the clock — and tell us where you are and what is happening; we will agree a time with you that we can genuinely keep, and tell you honestly if the hour you hoped for is not possible.
Many of the Hanoi households we care for are long-stay: families in serviced apartments near Tay Ho, embassy staff in Ba Dinh, people who have a landlord rather than a reception desk. If you are on day two of a fortnight's trip and running a high fever, please tell us so on the phone. Fever with confusion, a stiff neck or trouble breathing belongs in an emergency department — please call 115 and go to hospital rather than wait for an appointment.

Areas we go to most
Tay Ho · Old Quarter · Ba Dinh
Serviced apartments near Tay Ho usually have a lift and a reception that will let a clinician up. Older villas off Xuan Dieu often have neither, and the gate code matters more than the street number.
Addresses in Ba Dinh near the embassies are often gated compounds. Guards there work from a name on a list, so tell us which name they should be expecting.
Winter consultations look different from summer ones. Between December and February the complaints are chest, throat and sinus, and the doctor will ask about heating and damp in the room before anything else.
The visit is written up in English with a working diagnosis and an itemised invoice. That is the paperwork insurers and embassy medical officers ask for afterwards.
Hanoi has several tertiary hospitals a short drive from the centre. If the examination points to something needing imaging or admission, the doctor says so and helps you get there rather than treating it at home.
What is included
Full examination, working diagnosis and a written plan you can keep
Rapid tests on site where useful — dengue, influenza, blood glucose
Prescriptions and, where appropriate, medication delivered with the doctor
Itemised invoice and an English medical report for your insurer
Questions we are asked
Questions we are asked
Can a doctor come tonight if I call right now?
Often we can, and when we cannot you will hear so honestly. Our doctors live in Hanoi, so the answer depends on who is free and where you are staying, and we will give you a real time on the phone. If that time is longer than you feel able to wait, please take a taxi to hospital — your safety comes before our booking.
Is there a clinic of yours in Hanoi I could visit instead?
Yes, and you would be very welcome. Our Hanoi clinic is at 32/33 Phu My, My Dinh, Nam Tu Liem. Please call ahead so we can have a doctor ready for you and agree a convenient time; if coming in is difficult, one of our local doctors can come to you instead.
Will the doctor be able to consult in English?
A slot is confirmed on the basis that the consultation can be held in English, and not otherwise. Where that cannot be met for a particular time, you are told before you accept the appointment rather than discovering it at the door.
