Home physiotherapy in Quy Nhon, run as a block
Rehabilitation lives on frequency, and we would rather not promise a pattern of sessions we are not certain we can keep for months on end.
What we offer instead, with care: a concentrated block of daily sessions at home, in which the physiotherapist works with the patient every day, trains whoever will be doing the exercises once the visit ends, and leaves a programme in Vietnamese with a photograph of every movement. After that the reviews happen on video. Most people we see this way are older parents after a stroke or a broken hip. If weakness, slurred speech or a drooping face appears suddenly during the programme, stop, go to hospital and ring 115.

The first session usually turns into a survey of the house. Polished tile, a step up into the bathroom and nothing to hold on to cause more setbacks here than any missed exercise.
Work after a stroke or a fracture in an elderly parent is the bulk of it, and the household does most of the repetitions. Teaching them to count sets and spot fatigue is half the visit.
Video review needs a phone propped where the whole body is in frame, which sounds obvious and almost never happens on the first call. We ask for a practice clip beforehand.
What is included
An assessment comes first: what the person can do today, and what the next fortnight can realistically change
The exercises use your own stairs, doorways and bathroom, because those are the obstacles that stay behind after a session ends
Whoever is at home learns the daily set, and how to shift the patient without hurting either of them
Progress is measured the same way at every visit, and a plateau is reported plainly instead of padded out
Where a surgeon has set a protocol, it is followed, and load or range is not changed without asking the team that operated
Red flags go in writing: a newly drooping face, speech that has become slurred, or weakness down one side means 115 and a hospital, not another session
Questions we are asked
Questions we are asked
Can a physiotherapist come twice a week for months?
We are honestly not able to promise that pattern at present, and we would rather tell you so now than disappoint you later. Our approach is a concentrated block followed by a programme the household runs, with video reviews; it suits rebuilding strength, though not treatments that need a therapist present every time.
Does the family have to do the exercises with the patient?
Yes, and that is the part people underestimate. One relative should be the designated pair of hands: at every session during the block, and the person we call for each video review afterwards.
