A doctor's visit at your Ha Long address, and when hospital is the better choice
Our doctors and nurses in Ha Long live and work in the city and hold professional practice licences, so the person who comes to your door is a local colleague rather than someone travelling up from elsewhere. We do not have a walk-in clinic here; this is a home and hotel visit service, and we would kindly ask you to call our duty line first, so that we can agree a time with you and tell you honestly what to expect.
The visits that suit it best are the ones that can be properly arranged. A long-stay resident who wants something examined carefully at home. A family bringing an elderly parent up for a season who would like an assessment at the start. A document that needs a real examination behind it. If something is getting worse quickly — a fever climbing since lunch, a stomach that has emptied itself twice, a knee opened up on an island scramble — please do not wait for a visit: a consultation by video now and, if hands are genuinely needed, the hospital over on the Hon Gai side. Breathing trouble, chest pain, one-sided weakness, bleeding that will not stop, a loss of consciousness: 115 and the nearest emergency department, not a booking.

Areas we go to most
Bai Chay · Hon Gai · Tuan Chau · Ha Long Bay
A window of two or three days gives us the most room to fit a visit around your plans. If you need someone sooner, please say so when you call, and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
Storm season, roughly July to September, is the part people underestimate. Boats stay tied at the pier and roads around the bay can close, so a visit booked in that window is best agreed with a fallback date from the start.
Addresses on the two shores read alike. Say whether you are on the Bai Chay side or over the bridge in Hon Gai, and name the building rather than only the street.
A visit that is really about paperwork — a fitness-to-fly note, an insurance form — is often better done after a video consultation, because what the insurer wants is the written report, and a careful report does not always need a home visit.

Questions we are asked
Questions we are asked
How soon could a doctor realistically be at my door in Ha Long?
Our team lives in Ha Long, so nobody has to travel from another city to reach you. How soon we can come depends on the day's visits, the weather and which shore you are on; please call our duty line, which is answered around the clock, and we will give you a time we can keep rather than one that merely sounds better. If what you have will not keep, it should not wait for us at all — and the call will help you tell which of those two situations you are in.
Is there a clinic or a resident doctor of yours in Ha Long?
We do not have a walk-in clinic in Ha Long, but we do have a local team here: licensed doctors and nurses who live and work in the city and come to you at home or at your hotel. Our head office, duty line and equipment store are in Da Nang. If any listing describes a Ha Long clinic or a partner clinic under our name, please treat it with caution and call us to check.
What happens to my booking if the weather closes in?
It moves to the fallback date agreed when you booked, and we will let you know as early as we can rather than on the day. In the meantime the consultation can be done by video, so that nothing clinical has to wait on the weather. Nobody is charged for a visit that did not take place, and if waiting has stopped being sensible, the doctor will gently say so and point you to the hospital instead.
